Inspired by the art of cartoons, Wan Amy Nazira is well known for her distinctive style of portraying figures. Each of her figures are posed differently to convey a different mood or idea. This work features a half-length portrait of a lady dressed in an elegant outfit, wearing a string of pearls. A ribbon hairband adorns her fair coloured hair. She is holding a parasol, looking amused as a tiny butterfly rests on her hand.
