The sea is more than just a body of water, it serves as a place where memories are set free, carried by the breeze along the shore. Through rich layers of deep blues, purples, and greens, vivid recollections of the sea are transposed onto the canvas. Vast and profound, the ocean becomes a reservoir of personal memories. Life is full of ups and downs, but no matter what, we move on with faith, hope, love and courage. The painting serves as a reminder that challenges are temporary, growth is inevitable, and resilience is key. Sanip's internal landscapes were visualised through painterly expressions that exude a mystical and tranquil atmosphere. Sanip was one of the early Malays who graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, in 1961. His is a lifelong devotion to landscape with series such as Sri Mersing, Endau-Rompin, Gunung Ledang and Gelorasa. He was also a past president of the Johor Artists Society and the Johor Historical Society.
