Yap Chin Hoe demonstrated his talent at an early age — before he graduated from the Malaysian Institute of Art in 1991, his work has netted him awards, and was displayed in 1990’s Young Contemporary Artists Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur. In 2022, he had featured his works in Reminiscence: Yap Chin Hoe & Tony Ng Duo Exhibition held at Art WeMe Contemporary Gallery, Kuala Lumpur.
