In this work, two figures are standing side by side while another figure is seen lying on the ground. A splash of colours can be seen covering part of the ceiling. The same splashes appear on the ground where the figure is lying, as a stream of colours recede into a hollow rectangular shape. Could it be suggesting that it is somewhat a secret passage to a magical destination? Melissa Lin studied in Academia Minerva, Propedeuse Kunstgeschiedenis, Diploma in Fine Art, Groningen, The Netherlands. She has lived in The Netherlands, Australia, Singapore and Gabon. Her recent solo show titled First Light at Richard Koh Fine Art revolves around her travels in Gabon. Other exhibitions includes multiple group shows and Artist in Residence in Libreville (Gabon), Rimbun Dahan, Lostgens Kuala Lumpur and House of Matahati. Through her travels, astronomy and cultures inspired her to make her own versatile works.
