Khairi Fakhri is a young contemporary artist from Terengganu, whose narrative-driven works have been exhibited in group shows across Kuala Lumpur including participation in CIMB Artober Art & Soul. What distinguishes this young artist’s practice is his use of bitumen, which lends the canvas a rich texture and a distinctive sepia tonality. The fish is rendered with striking immediacy, brought to life through his unique style, characterised by nuanced monochrome hues and meticulous detail. His first solo exhibition Layar Tengkujuh was held at Artas Galeri.
