Raduan Man favours a combination of media to project his imaginative approach in making art — combining printmaking and painting. The history of the automobile reflects an evolution and steady development that took place worldwide involving many innovators. During the Renaissance period, Leonardo Da Vinci had designed planes for the world’s first self-propelled vehicle, as had Sir Isaac Newton a few centuries later. An array of classic cars, motorbikes and aircraft are illustrated here, showing the artist’s skilful adaption of printmaking techniques onto canvas. Raduan Man is one of the few artists with a double Masters: Universitiy of Wolverhamption (Painting, 2003) and Camberwell School of Art (Printmaking, 2006), another being Jalaini Abu Hassan. He graduated with a BFA from the Universiti ITM in 2000. His awards include the Juror’s Award in the Tanjung Heritage competition in 2002. He has had several solos since his first at the NN Gallery called Fresh Markings in 2003. His artworks had been selected for Sotheby’s Hong Kong auction sale for few times, and the abstract pieces fetched good prices.``
