The series (Kata-kata Yang Hilang Erti) is an expansion from Dato’ Khairul Anwar Salleh’s earlier series Gerak Intuisi. Movement — whether through dance or theatrical gesture, informs his artistic practice. Here, the artist layers words, texts, and scribbles across a richly coloured surface, constructing a new visual language imbued with meaning. Intuitive and poetic, the series is informed by the dynamics of the contemporary media landscape. It reflects daily life, where the ongoing flow of social, local, and global news surrounds and informs our world.
