Description
Speculations centre around Ruben Pang's ambiguous figure types with undefined forms and electric razzmatazz psychedelia, a kind of neurosis as parallel beings in a make-believe world, and what? This work, Building The Triad coming from his Vertical Paintings series sometimes dubbed 'ethereal' continues the open-ended intrigue with Star Wars imagery and scenario. Though futuristic looking and more tragic than heroic, the character, he/she/it, morphs into anthropomorphic denisons in a wasteland on earth, even Armageddon, and that explains the feeling of abject alienation. The work is purportedly created not only with brushes but palette knife and even own hands
