Azaikmal Rashid draws inspiration from the seasons in nature, capturing the fleeting moods and atmospheres. Elements such as clouds, air, mountains, and the ocean are reimagined through his palette, as he pieces together colourful forms and patterns that produce a vibrant and playful energy. Guided by the concept of synthesis, his visually dense compositions express a delicate interplay between lines, forms, and texture that reflect the sensations found in the natural world.  Azaikmal Rashid’s practice focuses on the exploration of fundamental principles in art such as lines and shapes in unconventional ways, traversing beyond the boundaries of traditional two-dimensional representation. A graduate of Universiti Teknologi Mara, he finds inspiration in nature, including the shifting forms of clouds. Azaikmal was the winner of the Malaysia Emerging Artist Award in 2022. His recent solo exhibition Lines That Morph was held at Taksu Kuala Lumpur in 2024.
