Yuki Tham is known for her talent in depicting the human figure in a dreamlike manner, as well as thoughtful observations of her surrounding world. In Under The Light And Shadow 3, the artist presents a female figure in dual perspectives, one resting at the steps of an entry way, and the other poised in a standing pose, forming an arresting composition. The interplay of the figurative forms and building exterior is heightened by the artist’s masterful treatment of light and shadow, which imbues the work with atmosphere and expression.
A graduate of Dasein Academy of Art, Kuala Lumpur, Yuki Tham presented solo exhibitions such as Beauty Behind The Madness (2017) and Heart And Mind, Realigned (2020). She has exhibited internationally at art fairs including Art Moments Jakarta, Art Jakarta, Art Central, Art Expo Malaysia and Art Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and locally in group shows such as Urban Narratives @ Yap Ah Shak House (2025), Works Of Bodies (2024), Figure it Out (2019).
