Dominated by rich textures executed with layers of flamboyant colours, Sabri Salleh continues to work with abstract forms stemming from his interest in the natural world and its exponential growth. The overall effect is a harmonious expression of gestural marks orchestrated with a variety of overlapping strokes. What a magnificent, spectacular, breathtaking view from the high land! Sabri Salleh was educated at the Sain Academy of Art, Penang, now defunct, graduating in 1986. He became a full-time artist in 1990, focusing on figures and Nature. He is one of the artists in the Conlay Art Colony commune.
