Dominated by rich textures built by layers of vivid colours, Sabri Salleh continues to work with abstract forms stemming from his interest in the natural world and its exponential growth. The overall effect is a harmonious expression of intense colours and lines orchestrated with a variety of horizontal strokes.
Sabri Salleh was educated at the Sain Academy of Art, Penang, now defunct, graduating in 1986. He became a full-time artist in 1990, focusing on figures and Nature. He was one of the artists in the Conlay Art Colony commune.
