Description
Influenced by music, Nizam’s works could be read as metaphors that relate to cross-cultural influences in a universal context. His works are reflections on modern society and the journey of the soul, a thoughtful reminder to care for others while striving towards one’s ideals and goals. A heavenly light in the middle shines through the dusk, and four doves fly above the figure and city line — a universal symbol of love and peace. The figure inside is the artist himself (self portrait), wearing a shirt with his favourite (from school days until today) rock band Led Zeppelin printed on it. The content and title of the artwork, Stairway To Heaven, is inspired by Led Zeppelin's song of the same title.
