Vu Nhu Hai is an experienced painter based in Laos who creates striking portraits in the style of photorealism. With great technical skill and detail, he captures the essence of his subject’s characteristics on canvas. Using a subtle monochrome palette, Roadside 2 depicts a diligent peasant woman working in the field, along with a pile of harvested corn. It's a good harvest, to be sold out soon, by the roadside. Vu Nhu Hai graduated from Vietnam University of Fine Art in 1987 and is a member of Vietnam Fine Art Association. His paintings are featured in exhibitions and collections in Switzerland, France, USA, Japan, Holland and Canada.
