This batik piece by Khoo Lok Sain features mothers and children. There are two mothers in the scene. It is a famous theme to paint and many artists took the opportunity to paint such a wonderful theme as it often involved intimate moments of mother and child. This work shows a heart-warming scene of big eyed, elongated limbs female figures embracing their young children. Khoo Lok Sain is a Penang based artist. In 1979, Khoo Lok Sain formed the Sain Art Academy offering art courses.
