Shahrul Hisham Ahmad Tarmizi is known for his use of highly technical drawings made with ball point pen imbued with cultural narratives and semiotic interpretation. A large umbrella dominates the painting, sheltering a curious assortment of objects such as a rabbit, a fire hydrant, a chair, and assorted utensils. Shahrul Hisham earned a Master’s degree in Art Design (Fine Art and Technology) from Universiti Teknologi Mara. His solo exhibition, Travelling Into Imaginaria: A Visual Poetry, was showcased at Segaris Art Centre in 2016.
