Description
Maharani Mancanagara is an Indonesian artist who lives and works in Bandung, Indonesia. She graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Faculty of Art and Design, majoring in printmaking. Primarily working in the medium of drawing, mixed media and installation, her works explore Indonesia’s history, from ancient times to present, based on her personal and family experiences.
She received many awards including 1st Prize, Soemardja Award, Galeri Soemardja, Bandung, Indonesia (2013), Finalist, BEXCO Young Artist Award, Art Show Busan, South Korea (2014), Finalist, Gudang Garam - Indonesia Art Award, Yayasan Seni Rupa Indonesia, Galeri Nasional, Jakarta, Indonesia (2013 & 2015). Solo exhibitions include Parodi Partikelir, Visma Gallery, Surabaya, Indonesia (2017), Zero Sum Game, Galeri Soemardja, Bandung, Indonesia (2018).
