Pupuk Daru Purnomo is known for his dreamy expressions that combines abstraction and figuration. A graduate of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, Pupuk explores themes that reflect on the journey of life through expressive brushwork and refined imagery. Over the decades, he has exhibited widely across Indonesia and Southeast Asia, with notable solo shows including Me, Myself and Eye (National Gallery of Indonesia, 2014) and Second Chance (Mizuma Gallery, Singapore, 2018). He was selected as a finalist for the Philip Morris Art Award in 1997.
