A sumptuous display of elements from nature such as leaves, foliage, and flowers are assembled and merged within a grid like shelf. Using warm, exuberant colours, a primal feeling is sensed through the overlapping patterns, scribbles, and strokes, reminding the viewer of the natural world. The various playful shapes are densely packed and unified by the grid structure, reminiscent of an exquisite display of tapestry, interspersed with life experiences. It's a breathtaking view at / from the balcony, poised to welcome another glorious morning and blessed day with hope and faith. Sabri Salleh was educated at the Sain Academy of Art, Penang, now defunct, graduating in 1986. He became a full-time artist in 1990, focusing on figures and Nature. He is one of the artists in the Conlay Art Colony commune.
