Best known for his signature Neo-Pop Surrealist aesthetic, Colbert has created an iconic cartoon lobster persona, frequently portrayed in a fried egg suit. Colbert holds an MA in Philosophy from University of St Andrews and has exhibited widely in museums and galleries worldwide. His first major presentation of large-scale paintings, New Paintings, was held at the Saatchi Gallery in 2017. His solo exhibition Journey To The Lobster Planet was organised by Whitestone Gallery Singapore. Definitely a rising star poised to streak across the sky towards something bright and marvellous! He also transforms the Tanjong Beach, Sentosa beachfront into an immersive playscape of colour, humour, and imagination in January 2026. Conceived as a natural extension of the duo exhibition Philip Colbert x Aruta Soup: Playscapes Of Dreams at Whitestone Gallery Singapore, the installation invites visitors to encounter Colbert's iconic universe beyond the gallery walls. The 8-metre ice-cream sculpture is the Highlight, a joyful and instantly recognisable form that draws on the shared language of beach culture, holidays, seaside indulgence, fleeting pleasure, and childhood nostalgia.
