Ismail Awi often observes and unravels concepts behind current affairs and this work presents a phantasmagorical scenario depicting contrasting opinions. Pencinta Ideologi narrates issues highlighted on social media through a multitude of entertainers attending a celebration, replete with lavish treats and presents. Each character is depicted in separate poses and emotions as if keeping a valuable secret. Various small grey colored masks in different expressions are also illustrated around the banquet table. Two of the masks held in the center have long noses, producing a sense of disconnect. The thick permeating fog and hurls of smoke suggest a vibrant but unsettling dystopian universe – a display of smoke and mirrors.
