Elephants, rendered in a diverse range of lively expression play a central role in the art of Yusof Gajah. His iconic elephants are portrayed through his imagination and creativity, drawing the viewer into a bright and colourful universe. The artist received his education at the Indonesia Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, and whilst studying, met Indonesian artist Widayat who became his mentor.
