Khalil developed a unique style focusing on groups of people of the East Coast that highlight their daily lives on the beach. East Coast Series shows the vastness of the seascape, featuring groups of men and women surrounded by azure blue waters. The impressions of breadth and space was created with deft brushstrokes and delightful colour harmonies. The works of Khalil Ibrahim have been collected by the National Museum in Singapore, Fukuoka Museum of Art in Japan, New South Wales Museum of Art in Sydney, Royal National Art Gallery of Jordan, National Art Gallery Malaysia, and Bank Negara Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery, etc.
