Created in 1967, Dua Pendawa presents exquisite wayang kulit forms skilfully executed on canvas. The two main characters are enveloped with decorative patterns and natural forms resembling the shape of delicate leaves. Yusoff Abdullah belonged to the Angkatan SePelukis Malaysia generation of Dato' Hoessein Enas, known for portraits, landscape and historical events, executed in batik, oil and watercolour. He was the first Malaysian to exhibit in the former Soviet Socialist Republic in 1978, displaying his batik works at the Oriental Art Museum in Moscow. He was also a freelance photographer and once even set up an art gallery called Gallery 12 in a joint venture in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
