An incredible tale of survival against all odds and remarkable bravery is told through the painting of the flying Sopwith Snipe E8102, a biplane fighter of the Royal Air Force. While flying alone on 27th October 1918, Canadian First World War fighter ace Major William Barker encountered 15 German World War I fighter aircrafts. Despite being shot in the leg and outnumbered, he shot down three German aircrafts and drove the others away, ultimately surviving the crash. His bravery earned him the Victoria Cross, the most prestigious British military award. William Barker's Sopwith Snipe is on display at the Canadian War Museum. Raduan Man is one of the few artists with a double Masters: University of Wolverhampton (Painting, 2003) and Camberwell School of Art (Printmaking, 2006). He graduated with a BFA from the Universiti ITM in 2000. His awards include the Juror's Award in the Tanjung Heritage competition in 2002. He had several solos since his first at the NN Gallery called Fresh Markings in 2003. His artworks had been selected for Sotheby's Hong Kong auction sale for few times, and the pieces at times fetched good prices. His solo exhibition Post-Contemporary Woodcut: Lines Of Labour was held in 2022.
