Agus Suwage is one of the most internationally high-profiled Indonesian artists. Agus Suwage was given a Retrospective by the Yogyakarta Art Museum in 2009, at a relative young age of 50. There was an accompanying 670-page monograph, Still Crazy After All These Year. He had been invited for the Yogja Biennale (2007 and 2013), Gwangju Biennale (2000), the Asia-Pacific Triennial (1996), Havana Biennale (1997), Singapore Biennale (2006), and had residencies in Saitama, Japan (1999-2000) and Brisbane, Australia (1996).
