In many cultures pigeons often become a symbol of many meanings for example persistence, harmony, well-being, mercy, forgiveness, freedom and finally peace. These common birds could either be a domestic pet to humans or scattered in the wild. People are opting to feed them either in the parks or in wide spaces as they bring good luck and fortune. Yong Khek Cheong, a full-time artist, graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Singapore in 1967. He has held 2 solo exhibitions in 2005 and 2010 respectively and participated in various group exhibitions and art fairs including Art Expo Malaysia, Hangzhou Art Fair and Guangzhou Art Fair.
