The Crocodile's Lair is a sharp commentary on issues within the fashion industry. The scene depicts a model wearing a pink coloured wig, with her facial features overlapped to achieve a unified image. An imaginative realm emerged through the exploration of facial forms, integrated with the experience from everyday life.
Nik Mohd Shazmie has a Masters in Fine Art Technology from College of Creative Arts, UiTM Shah Alam, Selangor and Bachelor (Hons) in Fine Art from the Faculty of Art & Design of Universiti Teknologi Mara. His first solo exhibition titled Home Sweet Home (2015) was held at Nando's Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur. In 2015, he won the Gold Award (Established Category) in the prestigious UOB Painting of the Year competition held at Curate Henry Butcher. In 2014, he was also the grand prize winner of Nando's Art Initiative. He has been participating in international art fairs in Taiwan and the Philippines. His solo exhibition The Rojak Wormhole was held at Secret Fresh Gallery, Philippines in 2022.
