The lotus is known to be a symbol of purity and strength, emerging from the depths of deep murky waters. A play of colour and light, the artist employs a harmonious color palette consisting of purple, blue and green hues, bursting with movement and expression. The flowers seem to move closer to the moonlight, enhanced with dabs of colour that evolves into a luminous composition. The paintings of Soon Lai Wai are inspired by the tropical plants found in the Malaysian landscape. Soon Lai Wai graduated from the Saito Academy of Design.
