Hailing from Surabaya, Arifien Neif's imaginative style of painting inspired by daily life, has captured the attention of viewers. Executed in the artist's signature earth tone palette, the painting depicts the movement of trains across cities, as the station serves as an important meeting point for people. One is fully immersed in a nostalgic realm with the variety of architecture, infrastructure, and curved shapes of the train tracks. Playing with multiple perspectives, the artist has captured the spirit and energy of the people in the scene with a magical feeling. In 2008, Arifien Neif held a solo exhibition titled "Fine Romance", at the National Museum of Singapore, organized by Zola Zolu Gallery, Bandung.
