Berasap depicts a portrait in charcoal of a modern youth with soft black hair created using a range of tonal values and sensitive lines. The careful treatment of light, shade and texture demonstrates a sophisticated style. The strength of the sketches on the collages is evident in the use of several types of paper and distinct surface qualities. This marks the talented Arikwibowo’s debut appearance in Henry Butcher Art Auction. Arikwibowo Amril received his BA of Fine Arts (Hons), UiTM Shah Alam, Selangor (2012).
