The fishermen have returned home to their families and loved ones with the catch of the day. Executed in light and fluid brush strokes typical of the artist’s style, the work highlights the fishing community whose humble attributes and teamwork skills are much to be admired. A.B. Ibrahim held a solo exhibition in Dewan Besar Perniagaan Cina, Ipoh in 1962. Group exhibitions include exhibitions of Persatuan Pelukis Melayu, Singapore (1945-1970), Penang Trade Fair (1948), and 4th Malayan Artists Association Exhibition, British Council, Kuala Lumpur (1958). He was the founder member of Persatuan Pelukis Melayu, Malaya based in Singapore.
